Doctoral College (Initiativkolleg) : "BioProMoTION" Bioactivity Profiling and Metabolism

The major aim of this PhD program is to educate students to conduct high-level research in a “bench-to-bedside” approach. The planned curriculum will comprise bioactivity profiling, including elucidation of molecular mechanisms, establishing structure-activity relationships and in silico models for prediction of ADMET properties, development of suitable biomarkers for subsequent in vivo experiments, planning and conducting appropriate human intervention studies and addressing crucial aspects of bioavailability and metabolism. In an integrative teaching and research concept, the expertise of groups in pharmacy, chemistry and nutritional sciences will contribute to an innovative PhD and research program. The students will be taught in a comprehensive array of high-end tools and techniques, not accessible in that quantity and quality in a regular PhD program.
